In 2023 The Historic New Orleans Collection approached The Bend Media to capture footage of Orleans Parish’s historic prison locations. The project evolved into the development of this motion graphic, which charts the evolution of Orleans Parish Prison from 1901-2024.

Working with THNOC’s publications and interactive departments, the graphic illustrates the prison’s development along the Broad and Tulane corridor, and correlates both prison population and bed count.
