Filmed at The Tolouse Theatre in support of The Historic New Orleans Collection’s 2022 Making Mardi Gras Symposium, this roundtable and performance brings together four Mardi Gras Indian Chiefs to discuss their personal histories, masking traditions, responsibilities, and the future of their community.
In 2023 “Big Chiefs” was awarded Best Digital Media Feature by the New Orleans Press Club.
